My story
My journey into psychotherapy began with a deep longing for love—the kind that makes you feel secure, seen, and chosen. This yearning guided me toward self-awareness and taught me, through the fires of rejection, heartbreak, and loneliness, that the love and attention I sought from others was a reflection of the love and attention I needed to give myself…
In my teenage years, the gym became my sanctuary—a place where I finally felt like I belonged. It led me to a career in personal training, where I spent over a decade guiding people to reconnect with their bodies through movement. There, I witnessed the profound relationship between the body and emotions. I saw how tension stored in the shoulders or hips could hold unspoken grief or anger, how posture mirrored a person’s inner world, and how breathing and stretching could release patterns of emotional bracing. These observations, along with the wild explorations and initiations of my 20s, ignited a desire for a deeper conversation—one that went beyond the physical body to explore the emotional and relational layers of the human experience.
Training in Gestalt therapy, where the mind-body connection is central, deepened my ability to fully feel my emotions—not as problems to fix, but as parts of myself to witness and support. Being witnessed by my classmates was a transformative part of this chapter. Their presence and acceptance allowed me to experience my emotions in a safe container, breaking through years of self-protection and isolation. I began to trust the power of being seen—even when it feels messy or overwhelming.
I believe healing happens when we feel truly supported—when we can show up as we are and explore the layers of our experience with curiosity and care. To me, this is the work of reclaiming your authentic self. It’s about creating a life where you feel at home within your body and free to express who you truly are. This is the world I want to live in, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you uncover your unique way!
